Debbie Roberts

Debbie Roberts was a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Auckland and later became an Account Manager for a company that supplied Hospital and Laboratory equipment.

Together with her husband, Paul, they developed a real passion for investing in real estate, and it was through this, and with the help of a good coach, that she was able to quit her job in 2007 and become a full-time Mum to their daughter (who was less than two years old at the time).

Today they actively continue to grow their property portfolio. Their main strategies have been “No money down” deals, renovations, and lease options. Most of their investment properties are now in Auckland, but they have also bought and sold property as far away as Invercargill.

They thoroughly enjoy teaching people how to use property as a means of creating financial freedom.

I bought our first property in 1999 with my wife Debbie. We quickly realized that this was a great investment tool that would enable us to retire early. Since then, we have developed a huge passion for property.

We started investing using our own money, then learned how to use the bank’s money, and also how to purchase property with no money down. What we have realized is that although almost anyone can make money in a boom, the trick is to know how to make the most of the market at any stage in the property cycle and avoid the mistakes that most new investors make.

As the property market changes, we have been able to change with it because of the education that we have developed over the years. We have continued to grow our portfolio throughout the different stages of the property cycle, because we built a foundation based on cash flow and low-risk strategies.

Life should be easier. Put the work in now so you can enjoy your future.
